Karen is responsible for directing the marketing and commercialization of a new and exciting product line in prenatal diagnostic testing.  Sequenom, a leader in genetic analysis products, is developing the first advanced non-invasive platform, which will set a new standard in early detection of genetic conditions.  The commerical objective is to make safe, non-invasive prenatal testing available to all women, independent of age and other factors that may contribute to pregnancy complications.

Before joining Sequenom in May of 2007, Karen was Head of Customer Communications at Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics.  Prior to the acquistion of DPC by Siemens Medical Solutions, she directed a dynamic marketing team, including product management, clinical scientific affairs, strategic planning, business intelligence, market research and telemarketing at DPC, a worldwide provider of immunodiagnostic systems and reagents.

Previous to DPC, Karen gained a breadth of experience in marketing, sales management, strategic planning and technical support in various IVD market segments and in distribution channels worldwide for companies such as Hybritech and Technicon Corporation.

Karen received a B.S. in Biochemistry from Bucknell University and also holds a M.S. degree in Business Administration. She is a member of the DxMA, AACC, ASRM, NDSC and March of Dimes.
